Rivers

Rivers

This half term we have been studying rivers, looking at how rivers are created, writing about the journey of a raindrop within 'The Water Cycle' and identifying features of a river. On the 11th of July we visited Park Bridge Heritage Centre to work with Mrs Lesley Bardsley from Tameside Cultural Services. In the morning we walked up Rocher Vale, along the River Medlock, identifying features such as a v-shaped valley and meander. We then sketched the valley before spending the afternoon assessing the current and using nets to dip and find water creatures as part of our life cycle topic.
