Thursday 2nd March 2017
The children have all come in some wonderful costumes today and are looking absolutely amazing. It is incredible how much effort parents and children have gone to in order to produce some of the outfits. We all assembled in the school hall this morning to show off our costumes.
The Junior teachers were given the very challenging job of choosing a winning boy and girl in each Infant class. This was followed by the Infant teachers struggling to select a boy and girl in each Junior class. It was a real challenge as much hard work had been put in by the children and their family. We have a photograph of the winning children below. Each child was able to select a book to take home. Can you guess the characters?
Throughout the day, children have taken part in Drop Everything and Read. This allows each child to stop whatever they are doing and read a book of their choice.
Thanks to all of the staff for getting into the day by turning up as Wallies.
Mr Bowers’ dream came true as he has spent the day controlling his class using the force…
‘May Year Fours be with you…’
Many thanks to our Reading Champions for organising today.
