Mon 6th Sept

  • Practise writing their name and holding a pencil
  • draw a picture of what you did at the weekend
  • Getting dressed and undressed, including top buttons but they may be a bit stiff as they are brand new

  • Sorting clothes out when they are inside out

  • Taking jumpers/cardigans off and putting back on

  • Undoing and doing up buttons on their cardigan

  • Know which shoes are on the right feet

  • Zipping their coat up

  • Recognise their name and find it on their items of clothing

  • Open and close their book bags

 

  • Counting toys up to 5 then beyond
  • recite numbers 1-10 and then 10-1 (even 0)
  • recognise simple 2D shapes around your house: circle, square, triangle, rectangle

 

  • Read story books together and discuss what is happening in the story, ask questions such as what was the boy's name? Why do you think that happened? What do you think will happen next?
