French Day 2023

In July, the whole school celebrated French Day. This was an opportunity to learn about other French speaking countries and their culture. Each class focused on a different country. Reception- France, Year 1- Belgium, Year 2- Switzerland, Year 3- Monaco, Year 4- Madagascar, Year 5- Haiti, Year 6- Canada.

‘I liked making different models like the Eiffel Tower and flag,’ Harry (Reception)

‘I liked trying all the different food,' Harry (Y1)

‘I loved learning new facts like how Switzerland is famous for skiing,’ Thomas (Y2)

‘I liked finding out more information about a different country in a fun way,’ Miles (Y2)

‘I loved French day because I got to learn more about another country,’ Leo (Y3)

‘I loved French day because I learnt about Madagascar and found out that it was a real country and not just a film,’ Nanyanika (Y4)

‘I really loved French day because it was a day full of lovely things from different countries which was really special and I like how more countries are included in our curriculum,’ Ava (Y4)
