We have invited a range of people to come in and talk about their careers to the children. By doing this, we hope to inspire the children, inform them of the opportunities out there and give them an understanding of the qualities and qualifications they might need.
Two PCSOs came to speak to the whole school about what they do and other jobs in the Police Force. They told the children what qualifications they need and qualities such as being a good communicator, listener and resilient. They then answered lots of questions from the children!
We had a scientist visit Year 3 and 4 one afternoon. He talked about the process of making shampoos, handwash and lotions. The children were then able to choose a smell and colour before making their own handwash. We made blue handwash which smelt of bubblegum! It was very interesting and the children asked lots of questions.
