Sustainability and Climate Change

At Audenshaw Primary School and Governor Led Nursery, we recognise the vital role education plays in addressing climate change and promoting sustainability. In line with the Department for Education’s Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy, we are committed to embedding environmental responsibility across our curriculum, operations, and community engagement.

Although our Climate Action Plan is currently in development, we pledge to:

  • Lead by Example: Promote sustainable practices within our school and nursery, reducing our environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible resource management.
  • Educate for a Sustainable Future: Equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills, and values to understand climate change and contribute positively to a greener world.
  • Engage Our Community: Work collaboratively with staff, governors, families, and local partners to champion sustainability initiatives and share best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor progress and adapt our strategies to ensure alignment with national guidance and emerging best practice.
