READING BOOKS
FFT Book - The children will have read this everyday at school. They should be able to read to you fluently. Ask them first what it is about to check their comprehension.
Please make a copy of the green and red words in the inside page and relearn if children do not know. This will help with fluency.
Second Book - This book is brand new to the children. You can ask your child what they think the book is about before they read it to you.
You will need to support your child reading the book. After reading, ask them questions about who was in the book, what happened, what they liked/disliked.
Please allow them to read all the books on their own - no need to read a page each. Just support on sounds/words they are unsure of.
